  when i first began studying in order to "make the truth my own", there were a set of scriptures that perplexed me and motivated me to dig deeper.. the scriptures are regarding the resurrection of the inhabitants of sodom & gomorrah.. see jesus words here - matthew 10:15 - "truly i say to you, it will be more endurable for the land of sodom and gomorrah on judgment day than for that city.

  " (ezekiel 16:48 / matthew 11:23 / matthew 11:24 / luke 10:12 ).

  any time that i brought these scriptures up to jw friends and family they would reply like this "jesus was speaking in hyperbole.. that is why he said it would be more endurable".. i would clarify and show them that it says "will be".

  The AAWA attitude still sucks after all these months, if I was putting anything out for public consumption it would be carefully scrutinised before release, in fact given the scenario as played out in this video release I would have ordered a retake of that section right on the spot, it would have NEVER have been released as is.

  As Outlaw has mentioned, given the self assigned role of this bunch you'd think they would at least try to appear to be making an effort to be professional about things....

  In my mind there is no way he would he would have shot 4 times thru a closed door without confirming who was in the bathroom (a stranger or Reeva).

  I think he's an arrogant asshole and a ticking bomb, they had a row, she shut herself in the bathroom or else fled there in fear of her life and he shot her in a rage because she wouldnt comply with his wishes. He probably didnt intend to kill her at any point until he saw red and pulled the trigger, then had immediate regret at what he had done.

  He can regret it all he wants, he knew it was her on the other side of the door and killed her and at the moment he pulled the trigger he wanted her dead.

  That is my take on it.

  i have been going to meetings since i was a child, long story short only recently i've started taking the truth seriously, i am not baptized but just an unbaptized publisher.

  truth is i am so lonely in the congregation.

  the other young people in the cong don't like me because they dont think i am going to "stay" for long, i've even worked on the ministry with an older brother and asked her am i giving the wrong impression to people?

  The honest simple answer is that it is a mind control cult. I doubt that is what you want to hear or find out and many on here would have been in the same shoes as you.

  Read up on cults and the BITE model. The sooner you can come to terms with what you are involved in then the better your life will be in the long run.

  I certainly wish I could have known this when I was in my early 20s, instead of 40.

  hello everyone it's nice to finally be able to post i had trouble getting emails last month and was never able to sign up.

  this has been a very informative site which has really helped me grow and to think for myself.

  please allow me to introduce myself.. i was born into a witness family and was baptized at a young age an was part of a small kingdom hall.
